Achievement

  1. O.P.E has managed to build 12 modern houses for Widows and abandoned women in Lake Eyasi area.
  2.  We managed to re-unite 12 families that were not having houses and now have houses to stay with their families. Children who were re-allocated to relatives due to lack of homes returned back to join their mothers. This built a sense of love, respect, hug and a new hope.
  3.  O.P.E managed to unite widows and abandoned into groups and started for them small businesses to sustain their lives. The beneficiaries of the project have enjoyed the project through increased income, increased saving, increased ability to access health and education services and balanced diet. The project has created happiness to the families.
  4.  Managed to secure Widows and abandoned women lost land and returned it back to them
  5.  O.P.E managed to establish well for clean water. This relieved women from travelling long distances seeking for clean water. Women were also rescued from other challenges that they were vulnerable to while travelling to fetch water at long distances.

Challenges

  1. Lack of enough funds for supporting more women with the same problems

Way Forward

  1. We are determined to conduct family life education, guidance and counseling to create peaceful atmosphere among family members.
  2. We plan to seek more funds to support more women
